A Live Show Treat from Our Wonderful Friends

Live ShowThe Promised Land Zoo was originally formed by Jeff and Diane Sanders in Chicago that started only as their hobby of raising exotic animals. It was in the early 90’s that the Sanders started raising endangered animals for other zoos. Because they owned a farm with wide open spaces they were able to produce more and more animals for other zoos. When people learned about their raising of animals, many people become interested to visit the farm. So they opened up a section of the park for tours and everything happened from there. Over a few years, visitors turned in hundreds and into thousands annually and eventually the Sanders opened the Promised Land Zoo in 1999.

With the increasing popularity of Promised Land Zoo, they began rescuing animals that reached over 60 rescued exotic animals aside from over  500 zoo residents. By the year 2012, the Sanders decided to open a zoo in another place. After finding the perfect place, they settled in Branson, Missouri. So after opening the Promised Land Zoo in spring 2013, it became one of the most visited Branson attractions in the Ozarks. The Sanders family focused on raring baby animals where visitors can watch, get up close, and interact.

The Promised Land Zoo today is one of the most popular Branson attractions that houses hundreds of animals from all over the world. The zoo represents 50 species of over 500 exotic animals in 120-acre facility. Some of the exotic animals housed in the zoo include kangaroo, antelope, deer, lemurs, tropical birds, large reptiles and many more. This awesome Branson attraction offers ultimate fun and exciting adventure for the whole family and kids. The zoo offers a guided tour so visitors have the chance to get up close and personal with the animals.

With a guided tour, you can have the chance to bottle feed a camel, a monkey, or just hear stories of the zoo narrated by your personal tour guide. Other endangered animals are kept in large cage where you can toss food at them. You can also see many amusing creatures such as ponies and goats. You will also be entertained by the impressive language of some parrots. With your camera ready, you may love to snap a baby camel, squirrel monkeys, and adorable zebra. You may also want to snap photo of the world’s largest albino Burmese Phython.

Promised Land Zoo features a live animal show daily where Jungle Josh and his helpers take some fascinating animals for visitors to feed while Jungle Josh talks about each unique animal. The zoo also features a screened house Parakeet Paradise where you can see many exotic birds. Inside the zoo, you can also find a gift shop that is full of unique items such as themed zoo souvenirs and many stuffed animals.

So, if you are looking for a unique zoo adventure where you can watch, learn and interact with the lovable animals, visit the Promised Land Zoo which is one of the most visited Branson attractions.
