Try to see the World’s Longest Shindig Line Dance to take in this great festival. On Saturday night, May 31, 2015 at 10:30 pm you will certainly have fun as Branson concludes the Ozark Mountain Shindig Festival by hosting an attempt to break the record for the world’s longest shindig line dance.
Come join the line on the sidewalks of Highway 76 all the way from Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater to the Shepherd of the Hills Expressway. On the streets, you can dance the night away with songs written by the Hughes Brothers and Family which will highlight the unique cultural sound of music of the Ozarks. Be sure to tune in your radio to My 100.1 to hear the Shindig Shuffle played at 10:30 pm, 10:35 pm and 10:40 pm. If you don’t know how to do the Shindig Shuffle, just shuffle around and pretend like you know what you’re doing or check out an instructional video from the ‘’it’’ Show in Branson.
Along with the Shindig Shuffle song, a special dance number is created that includes moves called the shindig, the jig, and more. The Shindig Festival isn’t just about song and dance, it’s something entertaining and fun for all ages with a unique combination of musical tunes that reflect the dynamic and diverse nature of Branson’s entertainment scene while still paying homage to the musical roots of the Ozarks.
Since the snow is gone and temperatures are starting to rise, the windows are always open and enjoying beautiful spring weather. After being locked up inside for three months, Branson folks are now itching to get out and feel the relaxing spring atmosphere. The spring cure after a cabin fever is a good old fashioned shindig. Some of popular Branson shows are even bringing up their production for the Shindig.
