Scheduled to open May 4 to 29, 2017, Bluegrass & BBQ Festival at Silver Dollar City has been named Bluegrass Event of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2011. The Bluegrass portion of the festival features more than 50 bands performing hundreds of shows throughout the 25-day fest. Bluegrass musicians and singers coming from around the country to perform a great show in Branson. Bluegrass is about traditional music influenced by the ancestors of early American settlers. The Irish and Scots influenced the fiddle music, whereas the music rhythms portray an African influence.
 
Come hungry and indulge yourself into all-American barbecue flavors. Don’t miss the impressive menu of Silver Dollar City’s signature barbecue specialties at The House of BBQ in Red Gold Heritage Hall. Set to open on June 3 to July 16 2017, Star-Spangled Summer at Silver Dollar City is packed with family fun and entertainment shows you won’t find anywhere else. This show includes the return of The Harlem Globetrotters in their Final Season at Silver Dollar City. Plus, the great fun and excitement of over 40 thrilling rides and attractions including the 10 family adventures of Fireman’s Landing and The world’s Most Daring Wood Caster – Outlaw Run. Star-Spangled Summer also includes All-New Buffet in the Reunion Hall designed just for kids featuring their very favorite foods.

The last blast of summer at Moonlight Madness at Silver Dollar City stays up past bedtime to ride into the night with extended ride time until 10pm on over 40 rides & attractions. Be at the City’s Square each night during Moonlight Madness for a Street Dance featuring all of your favorites including the Electric Slide, the Chicken Dance and the Cotton-Eyed Joe. The fun time includes Nightly Street Dances, Special Deals at Select Shops & Eateries, Hits from The Hollow featuring a Fireworks Finale presented by Humana nightly (weather permitting ), Midnight Madness until park’s closing time, and Cartoon Character Meet & Greets.
 
The Southern Gospel Picnic is one of America’s Premier Southern Gospel Events which is set to open on August 24 to September 4 at Silver Dollar City in Branson. Southern gospel music is always heard in the Ozarks, from country churches to grand stages and even in backyards during family get-togethers.  When you attend one of America’s Biggest Southern Gospel events at Silver Dollar City, you will once again enjoy that Southern Gospel music. In this musical event, you can have the opportunity to savor southern cooking at its best at The House of Chicken & Fixin’s on the City’s square. Enjoy your favorite styles of chicken and a choice of succulent Apple-Glazed Chicken, Hickory-Smoked Chicken or the famous Southern Fried Chicken with all the dishes.
 
Country Music Weekend is a special event with three great shows to be held on September 8 to 10, 2017 at Silver Dollar City. See the Restless Heart as they set to perform at Echo Hollow Amphitheatre for concert performances with classic country stars. This group has recorded four gold albums and topped the charts with six number one singles including “The Rock Won’t Roll,” “I’ll Still Be Loving You,” and “The Bluest Eyes in Texas.”
 
Diamond Rio is another great show to enjoy during Country Music Weekend on September 9. This group is a 4-time CMA Group of the Year and 13-time Grammy Award Nominees. Diamond Rio have hit #1 with singles including “One More Day,” “Beautiful Mess,” and “I Believe.” Another show to enjoy during Country Music Event is the Lonestar where its nine # singles in 1955 “Amazed” has reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 – the first country song to have done so in more than a decade.
 
The National Crafts & Cowboy Festival at Silver Dollar City which is scheduled on September 13 to October 28, 2017 will celebrate fall in Branson with over 125 visiting craftsmen along with authentic cowboy cooking, art, music, and more. During the festival, you will be amazed as more than 100 demonstrating craftsmen create unique works of art right before your eyes such as blacksmithing, glass blowing, candy making and more. The blacksmiths at Silver Dollar City make everything from fireplace sets and kitchen utensils to tools such as nails and shovels. See the wonderful works of these blacksmiths at the Wilderness Road Blacksmith Shop.
 
You will also see master glass blowers at Silver Dollar City transform fire, sand and water into beautiful works of art. See these artisans demonstrate their skills at Hazel’s Blown Glass Factory. With candy making, you’re sure to be entertained and amused by lively, interactive demonstrations of fudge making and brittle making. While you’re being entertained by their great craftsmanship, don’t forget to sample the candies being demonstrated.
 
National Harvest Festival at Silver Dollar City is one of the biggest events in Branson celebrated during fall season. Music and crafts of all kinds are featured in the National Harvest Festival at Silver Dollar City in September through October. The festival presents live music performances featuring western, country, and gospel. Craftsmen and artisans show their skills in glassblowing, basket weaving, natural wood dying, fabric weaving, painting, and barn wood birdhouses. The visiting craftsmen of 125 join together with 100 resident craftsmen in Silver Dollar City to create and demonstrate craftsmanship in the largest festival in the country.
