An Awesome Horseback Riding Experience

 

Horseback riding is an awesome Branson outdoor adventure that can be greatly enjoyed at the Busiek State Forest Park that offers nature hopping and exciting outdoor activity. It is really great to enjoy a fulfilling Branson outdoor adventures such as hiking, biking, and horseback riding. As Branson is home to many forest parks and hiking trails, while you are having an awesome horseback riding experience in these areas, you can get the chance to see waterfalls, amazing rock formations, and panoramic views of the Ozarks.

Horseback RidingIf you are an avid outdoor enthusiast who prefers horseback riding or hiking as your favorite outdoor activity, grab your backpack and walking shoes and head on to Busiek State Forest Park. This state forest features several different trails of varying length and level of difficulty. These trails cover a length of about fourteen miles, most of the trails have shortcuts and loop back on each other, but these beautiful horseback riding trails are well marked for easy navigation and accessibility.

The best horseback riding in southwest Missouri can only be enjoyed best at Busiek State Forest Park. The terrain of the state forest changes alternately which makes horseback riding a thrilling Branson outdoor adventure. The Silver Trail at the forest park is one of the most challenging trails to take for horseback riding. You can find in this trail many large rocks and uphill slopes that require both the horse and the rider physical fitness and stamina. Other trail in the park is a bit shorter Red Trail with flatter grounds and not as difficult and challenging as the Silver Trail. These two trails have some obstacles such as rocks, creek crossings, occasional fallen tree, and wildlife encounters.

Busiek State Forest is now owned by the Missouri Department of Conservation and provides visitors multiple recreational activities. The Woods Fork Creek stream in the forest park runs through the middle of the forest. The park’s trail system provides great fun for bikers, hikers, and of course horseback riders. Fur tapping and deer hunting are allowed at certain times of the year in the forest park. The elevation of the hills of the state forest is between 980 feet and 1,200 feet above sea level, so it is prohibited to use motorized vehicles.

At the Busiek State Forest Park you can find two other hiking trail systems. These are the West Trail System that has a length of 8 miles and the 10 miles East Trail System. Each trail system features three color-coded loop trails and available for mixed use, which means open to mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding. This park features nine primitive designated campsites with unsupervised shooting rage. This forest park is actually close to the Mark Twain national Forest but they are not accessible to each other as they are separated by tracts of land.
