Branson is home to three pristine lakes, many nature parks, hiking trails, and spectacular mountains where you can see the beauty of the Ozarks.

The three lakes in Branson namely Table Rock Lake, Lake Taneycomo and Bull Shoals Lake are some of the best places to enjoy the beauty of nature as they all offered water sports activities such as fishing, boating, kayaking, and other water sports adventures. Table Rock Lake covers a surface area between 43,000 and 52,300 acres, has ample supply of smallmouth and largemouth bass, catfish and large bluegill. With a surface area of only about 2,000 acres, Lake Taneycomo offers easy access from downtown Branson and contains rainbow and brown trout. The biggest of the three lakes, Bull Shoals Lake covering between 45,440 and 71,240 acres and contains lunker fish, bream and catfish.

Operated by Branson Parks and Recreation, the Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area is comprised of 130 acres of undeveloped wooded land that offer rugged trails along Lake Taneycomo. One of the trails winds through Ashe junifer trees and oak hickory forest.

Another great way to enjoy the beauty of the Ozarks is to visit Ozark Mountain caves and caverns near Branson such as the limestone Marvel Cave, located within Silver Dollar City theme park. The cave offers a one-hour tour that takes you 500 feet below the earth’s surface. Upon reaching the bottom of the cave, a 1957 cable train will bring you back to the surface. Located in Branson West, Talking Rocks Cavern offers a two-hour Powell Cave Eco-Tour. The tour requires a walking up and down a 45-foot tall observation tower.

The 40-mile round-trip journey with the Branson Scenic Railway tour takes you through the Ozark foothills and historic tunnels. As the train takes its journey, the tour guide narrates about the history of the railroad. Ride the Ducks is an exciting nature tour that takes you on a land and water tour of the city. This amphibian tour covers scenic spots such as Branson entertainment district, the Ozark and Baird Mountains, Table Rock Lake, and Lake Taneycomo.
