Enjoy the Outdoors and be Amazed with the Bald Eagles

Bald EagleBranson is a great place to enjoy the outdoors as it has everything you need for a perfect outdoor adventure. Outdoor activities in Branson is endless as the place is surrounded with three majestic lakes. During autumn season, many of Branson visitors want to enjoy the colorful foliage of the Ozark region,  bird watching, or explore other exciting outdoor adventure. As Branson is beautifully connected with the three lakes namely Table Rock Lake, Lake Taneycomo, and Bull Shoals Lake, it makes the place the best vacation destination in the U.S. With these pristine lakes, you can imagine the vast possibilities of enjoying great Branson outdoor adventure and other exciting water sports activities.

Branson alone offers several outdoor adventure opportunities that include hiking, biking, kayaking, camping, canoeing, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, rock climbing, and many other exciting sports activities around the lake. The three lakes that feature clean and crystal clear water cover an area of more than 100,000 acres and thousand miles of shoreline that make the area a great summer vacation destination. But even during autumn season, you can still enjoy a variety of exciting outdoor adventures.

One of the most exciting outdoor adventures that you can enjoy after summer season is enjoying the outdoors along with watching the amazing Bald Eagles in the Ozarks. As Bald Eagles usually arrive in the area in October and stay until mid or late March, watching those amazing creatures from mid autumn season to early spring is a great outdoor adventure to enjoy. These high flying birds migrate south from their nesting ground in Great Lakes states and Canada to hunt around the open waters of Missouri rivers and lakes. These birds migrate to Missouri because of abundance of fish in lakes and streams.

The Bald Eagles in the Ozarks region are some of the most fascinating attractions where tours are offered to Branson visitors beginning middle of autumn season. The perfect time to view bald eagles is in the month of January, a National Bald Eagle Month where you can view them along the Meramec River in the Ozarks. If you try a great water adventure like rafting or canoeing along the river, there’s a big chance that you will see the bald eagles nesting on trees, or diving for fish.

During the cold months, Missouri is reportedly to have more than 2,000 bald eagles, making this state to have the most bald eagles in the Midwest. When the northern part of Missouri freezes, most of these birds migrate to open water in the south scattering as far as the gulf coast. They begin to move back north in late February. By early spring, most have returned to their nests in Great Lakes and Canada where they come from before they migrate to Missouri.

If you want to enjoy an amazing outdoor activities in Branson, don’t miss to watch the bald eagles in the Ozarks where they migrate starting October and stay until early March.
