Tri-Lakes area in Branson is a nice vacation spot this winter season as the area still offers many exciting activities. Many of the visitors to the Tri-Lakes area can still enjoy water sports adventure even if it’s winter time. The three pristine lakes - Table Rock Lake, Lake Taneycomo, and Bull Shoals Lake feature world-class land and water activities that include camping, hiking, biking, boating, kayaking, and fishing. These lakes offer camping activities that can be accessed in many area resorts and public marinas. These area resorts and marinas offer boat rentals including bass boats, pontoon boats, ski boats, and wave runners.
What’s interesting during winter in the Tri-Lakes area is about the climate that is expected to be typical. But this won’t mean there won’t be some colder days as there’s always a possibility of snow. Temperatures in the Ozarks are usually mild with the potential of thunderstorms. Based on climate predictions, residents in the Tri-Lakes area could be expecting a milder winter and possibly wetter. Because of the area’s varied climate patterns, temperatures will be up and down with alternating weeks of sunny weather, mild and weeks of cold and snow. January and February in the Ozarks are expected to be fairly normal with an average temperature of 30 degrees in January which is usually 4 degrees warmer than usual.
Although the majority of shows and attractions are usually closed during winter time in Branson, this isn’t the case anymore. Because the Baldknobbers in Branson perform during winter season every Friday, Saturday, Monday and Wednesday evenings. The “Grand Jubilee’’ that recently debuted their 2014 show, will be back to their full-time schedule beginning January 15. The ‘’Amazing Pets’’ show will also be visiting the Grand Country Music Hall to perform morning weekend shows until March.
At the Imax Entertainment Complex in Branson, The Little Opry Theatre will host four different shows over the winter months starring Tim Hadler. Hadler will be performing with a classic rock show and a classic country show. Joining Tim Hadler at the Little Opry Theatre will be the Petersen Family Bluegrass Band who will perform every Saturday night at 7 p.m. These exciting winter shows at Little Opry Theatre will run through the end of February.
The ‘’Hot Winter Fun’’ is another event that traditionally marks the beginning of the winter season set at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater on February 3. Following this event, the theater will host a limited engagement production of ‘’Elvis Lives’’ from February 7 to 18 at 8 p.m. nightly with a 3 p.m. show on Wednesdays. Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater will continue hosting ‘’Legends in Concert’’ show on its 2014 run on February 20 at 8 p.m. In addition to many exciting shows in Branson during winter time, the Grand Country mall and Fun Spot will both be open.
Tri-Lakes area during winter season still offers a lot of fun activities that include many exciting water sports adventures in the pristine lakes and live entertainment shows in many theaters in Branson.
