Branson is truly a favorite vacation destination nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. Dubbed as the live entertainment capital of the world, it is also the venue of the Legends in Concert that features favorite artists performing in two famous theaters, the Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater and the Andy Williams Moon River Theater. Branson also boasts three beautiful lakes, where you can enjoy great outdoor adventures such as fishing, boating, swimming, para-sailing, or walking along the lakeside.
Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater is one of the two theaters to host the Legends in Concert. This concert venue is one of the best hospitality destinations in Branson that offers integrated entertainment. Dick Clarks American Bandstand Theater is a long time Branson home of Legends in Concert and the Bretts, Celebrity Car Museum, the Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Grill, and the adjacent 500 room Ramada Inn.
Andy William’s Moon River Theater is one of famous theaters in Branson that also hosts the Legends in Concert. Andy Williams had a legendary career in music industry who was idolized all over the world. Many people have enjoyed and watched him performed some of his favorite hits in the theater that bears his name. When the theater was opened in 1992, he started to perform continuously in his theater until 2011. This was the year that he bowed out of show business due to health issues. In September 2012, he passed away but his remarkable contribution to the music industry lives on at the Moon River Theater.
Legends in Concert began a limited six-week engagement in Las Vegas in 1983 and now on its 30 years service of success. Legends in Concert is a unique concert experience that features re-creations of superstars. The performers in the concert sing with their own natural voices backed up by a live rockin’ band and the Legends singers and dancers. On Stage Entertainment (producers of Legends) has afforded to bring the spectacular live celebrity tribute to other places such as Atlantic City, Myrtle Beach, in Waikiki at the Royal Hawaiian Theater, and in Branson.
During the months of mid-October and late November, some legendary artists will perform in Legends in Concert. At Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater, watch the show of Lou Gram, the voice of foreigner as he sings some of his popular hits like “I Want To Know What Love Is”, “Feels Like The First Time”, “Waiting For A Girl Like You”, and many more. Another great show in Legends in Concert at the Andy Williams Moon River Theater is the popular singing group that popularized YMCA, the Village People. Crystal Gayle and her special guest – comedian Kevin Meaney also perform in Legends in Concert at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater – the two will be signing autographs and will let you take photo opportunities after the show.
