Branson will be hosting this Christmas two holiday themed parades that the locals and visitors don’t want to miss. The second annual Most Wonderful Time of Year Parade, formerly called the Holiday Promenade of Stars will be held in Branson Landing on Saturday November 14, 2015. The 67th Annual Adoration Parade is another Christmas parade to be hosted in Branson which will be held on December 6, 2015 from 5 pm to 8 pm CST with event description “Keeping Christ in Christmas”.
During the Most Wonderful Time of Year Parade, theaters are filled with the sounds of familiar Christmas carols, thousands of lights are hung, and the Christmas tree at Branson Landing Square is aglow. At the start of the parade, parking will be available at the Branson Landing, parking garage downtown, and areas in the Historic Downtown Branson. The parade is set to begin promptly at 10 am at the north end of the Branson Landing Promenade near the Belk Department Store.
The parade will include stars such as Mickey Gilley, Mayor Karen Best, Clay Cooper, The Hughes Brothers, Nat King Cole from Legends in Concert, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, and The Texas Tenors. Also joining the parade are The Osmonds, The Lennon Sisters, The Duttons, New South, SIX, and illusionist Rick Thomas. These entertainers will perform some of your favorite Christmas songs following the parade in front of the fountains. You can have lunch at some of the Landing’s fine restaurants or do early Christmas shopping at the dozens of retail outlets, specialty shops, and kiosks. This holiday season make the Most Wonderful Time of Year Parade part of your “must-do” activity in Branson.
Highlights of the parade include area high schools bands, Branson entertainers and attractions and Santa & Mrs. Claus. There will be performances in front of the Branson Landing fountains. The Grand Finale of the parade will have a special presentation to Andy Williams wife, Debbie, as well as Andy’s brother, Don Williams. Come celebrate the spirit of Christmas and be a part of the “Most Wonderful Time of Year Parade” in Branson.
The 67th Annual Adoration Parade is another exciting parade to be hosted in Branson on Dec. 6, 2015 from 5 pm to 8 pm CST. Described as “Keeping Christ in Christmas”, this is the nation’s largest non-commercial Christmas Parade that rolls through downtown Branson following the lighting of the Adoration Scene on Mount Branson. Branson community gathers on this special day to celebrate the true meaning of the holiday season in the Ozarks. This is the chance to stop and reflect on the beauty of the Christmas story that continues to inspire people today. During this special evening, no one is in the limelight, just an overwhelming outpouring of community celebrating together to honor the story of Christmas. The parade will begin in downtown Branson at 5:30 pm.
