Silver Dollar City is set to present this 2015 spring season Fireman’s Landing, an $8 million development in an all-new area featuring 10 new attractions. This additional attraction in the new area makes Silver Dollar City the biggest family park in Branson. This newest attraction of Fireman’s Landing in Silver Dollar City features six family rides and four interactive play zones for kids and families. This highly themed attraction that recognizes the community heroes who serve as firefighters, is an 1880s volunteer recruitment fair with rides and exciting attractions for all ages.
Attractions at Silver Dollar City are open for select days in March, and the regular season will open with World-Fest featuring performers from around the world beginning in April. Silver Dollar City also features seven world-class festivals and events and over 100 resident craftsmen and artists demonstrating America’s heritage crafts. Thrilling rides from high-speed coasters to authentic steam train, great music and exciting entertainments, can all be enjoyed in one place. The park has been awarded internationally several times for excellence in theme rides, presentation, and operations including the worldwide Applause Award and the Themed Entertainment Association Award.
The all-new development of Fireman’s Landing in undeveloped area of the park that brings 10 family adventures increases the number of the park’s rides and attractions to over 40 thrilling rides. Get ready as Silver Dollar City debuts 10 new family adventures in Fireman’s Landing this Spring 2015. Fireman’s Landing is designed and themed with the atmosphere of an old-time volunteer fighters recruitment fair that include firefighting activities to test the skills of even the youngest recruits. This new development has an area of nearly 2 acres that give additional attraction to this famous theme park in Branson.
Fireman’s Landing moves back to the days of volunteer firemen and bucket brigades ready to train and entertain recruits with thrilling rides among the 10 new family adventures. Centered around the headquarters is the Fire Spotter, a fun ride in a balloon for spotting fire dangers. Fire Wagon Frenzy will give you a bumpy ride for bucket brigade volunteers. Fireman’s Flyer is a low-flying swing ride for young firefighters. Up the Ladder offers a small tower drop ride for junior recruits. Lucky’s Dizzy Dogs features a bouncing ride on Dalmatians that race around a fire hydrant. A Firehouse Splash Yard features squirting water jets and pump hoses.
A Firefall is an 8-story fire tower that offers free-fall drop ride to daring recruits. In this ride, guests can meet the station’s Dalmatian resident where you can sign in for free training activities. These training activities include Firefighter’s Fire Drill that features buckets, pumpers, foam ball cannons and targets for showering fires; Firefighter’s Fire Escape is an obstacle course of mazes, tubes, slides and climbing structures; and Firefighters Junior Fire Escape features a play area for kids.
