Lake Taneycomo was created after the completion of the Powersite Dam in 1913 in Forsyth, Missouri. The lake is the number one trout fishing lake in the United States with about 22 miles long. Lake Taneycomo has several species of pan fish including German brown trout, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, cutthroat trout, and bluegill. The clear cold waters of the lake provide all year round of exciting fishing experience. Aside from wading and boat fishing, shore fishing can also be enjoyed at the many trout docks along the lake. Bull Shoals Lake has very clear and clean water and has about 1,000 miles of pristine shoreline.
