Scotty McCreery Live in Branson is one of the newest shows in Branson to be hosted at the Mansion Theatre on November 11, 2017, Saturday at 8 pm. The winner of American Idol Season 10 will play for one-night performance only this fall. As an international superstar and recording artist, Scotty McCreery burst onto the music scene at age 17 in 2011 and quickly became known as one of country music’s hottest new stars. His hits include “I Love You This Big,” “Clear As Day,” “The Trouble With Girls,” “See You Tonight,” and “Five More Minutes.”
After he became a winner of American Idol, the talented singer/songwriter who is now in his early twenties has sold 3 million copies from his album sales, and received both Platinum and Gold album certifications. McCreery has debuted three consecutive albums at No. 1 on a Billboard chart, and he has also achieved one Gold and three Platinum-certified singles as well as two Top Ten hits. This talented performer has captured the hearts of millions of television viewers both nationwide and overseas and quickly became the hottest star in country music. McCreery’s debut album, was the best-selling solo album released by a country artist in 2011.
This international singing sensation has toured with Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts and headlined his own tours. McCreery has also earned industry and fan accolades, and was named “Best American Idol” by the readers of The Los Angeles Times and as “Country Music’s Sexiest Man” by the readers of NASH Country Weekly Magazine. This newly-emerged country singer has amassed more than three million followers on Facebook and Twitter, and received more than 150 million YouTube views. He has also released his first book “Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream.” This added the title of author to his impressive resume.
A native of Garner, North Carolina, McCreery began his love of country music at an early age after he read a book about Elvis that was given by his grandmother. At the tender age of ten years old, he began to learn to play the guitar. He ultimately won a singing contest in 2009 called the “Clayton Idol”. He had played other early musical events that included the 2nd Annual Boots, Bands, and Bulls benefit concert. He has led also his church band, Audience of One.
After winning Season 10 of the American Idol, his coronation single “I Love You This Big” was released and ended up in the Country Billboard Chart at No. 32 and become certified gold in 2011. From there, he was presented with CMT awards and released a variety of albums which earned him many top hits. In 2012, he was awarded for Best New Artist by the Academy of Country Music Award and in 2013, he was awarded Artist of the Year: Breakthrough Artist by American Country Award.
