World’s Largest Toy Museum Complex is one of the most fascinating attractions in Branson where you can see tons of toys that occupy every corner of the museum. Filling the museum wall to wall, the toys that dating back centuries ago, will guarantee you to find that one special toy you played with so much fun while growing up. This unique complex features over 1 million toys and is already a spectacle that you need to see to believe while it is getting bigger.
The Shepherd of the Hills Harold Bell Wright Museum is now included in the museum, but still expanding to include the Those Were The Days Memory Barn. While this addition is still currently under renovation, it is expected to open soon. Along with thousands of exhibits of vintage toys, the Memory Barn will also include the Branson Military Museum and Historic Firearms Exhibits and the National BB Gun Museum.
The BB gun section features exhibits dedicated to Roy Rogers and Dale Evans along with almost every type of Red Ryder BB Gun imaginable. With Branson Military Museum, you will find several exhibits showcasing artifacts and political propaganda from various American wars. You will also find numerous real and model guns that were used during the wars. One of the most unique additions to the toy museum is the use of hand-painted murals throughout. Murals of historic events and people such as Abraham Lincoln and Gettysburg adorn the inside of the Memory Barn including other displays that are dedicated to the museum while other exhibits are painted on the outside of the building.
Aside from the military and National BB gun displays, the Memory Barn also features several toy exhibits; many of them are completely different from the ones displayed in the toy museum building next door. The World’s Largest Toy Museum in Branson has several interesting sections dedicated to popular toys such as Barbie and M&M’s along with a full-size replica of Mike Tyson, and a full-size Rolls Royce. The Memory Barn also features similar exhibits along with toys from Star Wars, California Raisins, Star Trek, and Raggedy Ann and Andy. You will also find a display with Native American artifacts before the coming of the new settlers.
The Stearnsy Bear and Checkers room is one of the most detailed areas of the Memory Barn. This room is solely dedicated to Stearnsy bears and the board game, Checkers. This bears collection is the world’s largest, and dates back to the 1800’s. Several bears have handmade, vintage clothing and antique jewelry, and they are arranged to look like they are playing Checkers. Those Were the Days Memory Barn and the World’s Largest Toy Museum in Branson are true pieces of American history. When you walk through the complex, you will be transported back in time. There will be separate admission charges for the toy museum and the Memory Barn.
