Liberty Plaza is a new venue in this favorite vacation spot in the Midwest which hold events every first Friday of the month.
This $4 million facility has a parking lot, a trolley stops, a large public restroom facility and a performance stage with a fountain backdrop. Beautifully located at the corner of Veterans Boulevard and Pacific Street, the Liberty Plaza features an open-air park and gathering space that occupies half of a city block. There is also a drop-off driveway for cars and motor coaches that can be accessed from Veterans Boulevard.
Liberty Plaza has been available since 2017 for public use, as well as for scheduled events like concerts and weddings that only involved smaller groups. So, mark your calendar now for the events in Branson that will be held at the Liberty Plaza. The plaza is an ideal to hold several events that may include jam sessions and live music events, weddings and receptions, birthday parties, company, and team-building events, engagement and senior photos, hootenannies, hoedowns and other shindigs. The plaza is also a great place to hold picnics, taking selfies and memorable social media posts.
Some of the events that are scheduled to run at Liberty Plaza include some of the fall activities on September 6, 2019. Everyone can join at the Downtown Branson’s First Friday Fun as the event introduces the spectacular changing colors and close out the summer for the year. The organizer of the event will also be collecting donations to be used on Back to School supplies.
On October 4, 2019, Liberty Plaza will hold Outdoor Movie Night for free. Branson Parks & Recreation will also host another free Movie in the Park on Friday, October 11, showing “Goosebumps” at the Liberty Plaza Park. Movies in the park are offered free as a family fun activity for the area community and visitors. These movies are free and guests are encouraged to bring their blankets and chairs.
Mayors Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held also at Liberty Plaza on the first Friday on November 1, 2019. Join the ceremony as the event welcomes the Christmas spirit and celebration with the annual Tree Lighting. The famous Nativity Scene and Adoration Parade may start to be felt around.
A new Branson Tradition will begin this time as a Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony takes place. The ceremony features performances by the Dickens Carolers and the Staccato Choir from the Branson Regional Arts Council as well as an appearance by Santa Clause. The Crystal Fish Gifts a Distinction will provide a free complimentary Coca Bar. The celebration coincides with the launch of the Ozark Mountain Christmas Season on the same day.
On December 2, the Adoration Parade will kick-off, followed by Christmas in Downtown event in Branson on December 6. Lights, Trees, Carolers and a Festive Spirit are in full force as dazzling Christmas decors abound. On Sunday, December 8, 2019, Branson’s 71st Annual Adoration Parade will take place at 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm CST. At dusk, this exciting event in Branson will be followed by the Adoration Scene and will be lit and the parade will kick-off immediately. The nation's largest non-commercial Christmas Parade will roll through downtown Branson following the lighting of the Adoration Scene on Mount Branson.
This time-honored event in Branson includes the lighting of the Adoration Nativity Scene and pre-parade activities with some entertainment. The Adoration Parade in Branson serves as a true reminder of the meaning of the Christmas season that will feature performances by local high school marching bands and a variety of floats created by a multitude of churches and organizations in many areas, as well as appearance by Santa Claus. Beginning at the Branson Convention Center’s south parking lot, the parade will wind its way through Historic Downtown Branson.
