Morning Picnic Branson is a favorite vacation spot in the Midwest that offers tons of fun  activities in its many park locations. The 16 park locations in Branson range from neighborhood park to large area in the wilderness. All together, these parks encompass an area of more than 290 acres mostly located within the city limits and all provide great outdoor fun and other recreational opportunities for local residents and visitors alike. To start your day for an exciting outdoor fun, try a morning picnic at some of your favorite parks in Branson.

Some of these parks can easily be accessed from the heart of Branson that include the Alexander Park, Branson RecPlex Park, Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area, Murphy Park, Stockstill Park, and much more. Located near Lake Taneycomo is the Alexander Park which features two youth ball fields, a playground, a tennis court, and a pavilion with picnic tables. Other outdoor fun activities that are frequently played in this park include baseball, softball, and soccer games.

Branson RecPlex is a vast recreation center featuring two gymnasiums, indoor track, aerobic and exercise rooms, a fitness center, locker rooms, game room, community rooms, concession area, and offices. This recreation center features 12,000 square foot aquatic centers with a zero-depth entry leisure pool, lap lanes, water slides, diving well, and shaded picnic area. There are also other outdoor facilities in the center that include four baseball fields in a cloverleaf design, soccer field, a two-mile walking trail, a pavilion, and a playground.

The Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area is another fascinating place overlooking Lake Taneycomo where you can see picturesque views of its trails, waterfalls, and a cave in the heart of Branson. The area has a rugged hiking trail that offers many panoramic views. This wilderness area features a strenuous hiking experience with its 315 stone steps. This 130 acre wilderness area is beautifully located on Fall Creek Road, south of 76 Blvd. and near The Dixie Stampede. Murphy Park is another beautiful neighborhood park in Branson that features a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, playground equipment, and two covered pavilions with picnic tables.

Stockstill Park is a popular park in Branson that offers tons of outdoor fun activities for adults and children alike. Located along Roark creek, the park hosts tennis and softball leagues for all ages on its six tennis courts and two softball fields. The park features two large children’s playgrounds where you often see kids enjoying around all the time. The park also features four separate covered pavilions that offer visitors a nice community place for family picnics. Visitors can also enjoy a leisurely walk on the half mile paved walking trail around the park. In this 62 acre park, you will find a lighted soccer field and its newest feature, a skate park.
