Three Legends in One-Night Show
Dick Fox’s Golden Boys together with the three legendary singers from the 50s and 60s, Frankie Avalon, Fabian and Bobby Rydell will perform a One-Night Show on Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Branson. As one of the best Branson shows to perform this year, the three music legends will share the music and memories of a generation that loved a romantic song and a fascinating performance to go along with it. The Golden Boys who were the most popular Teen Idols of the late 50s and 60s have proved their overwhelming live concert success.
These teen idols have appeared in countless television shows, a special performance for the President of the United States and a Golden Boys PBS special brought a vast audience of fans, not only of their generation, but all generations. This fantastic Branson show will spotlight the all-time greatest hits of the three legends including “Turn Me Loose”, “Tiger”, “I’m A Man” (Fabian), “Venus”, “De De Dinah”, “Bobby Sox to Stockings” (Avalon), “Volare”, “Wild One”, and “Kissin’ Time” (Rydell). In this limited engagement in Branson, these three music legends combine their talents on several songs and perform a tribute to the material of Elvis Presley, Rick Nelson, Bobby Darin and Bill Hailey.
As one of the members of The Golden Boys, Frankie Avalon went from 50s teen idol to a national and international singing sensation. The song De De Dinah that he first recorded became a smash hit and his recording of Venus was one of the biggest selling hits during the time. After the success of Venus, he recorded many more hits that include Bobbysocks to Stockings, Just As Your Heart, and A Boy Without a Girl.
Fabian have performed a series of shows on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater and became one of the top teen idols of the late 1950s. Fabian had enjoyed great success with the hits Turn Me Loose, Hound Dog Man, and the Tiger, his million-selling single. Bobby Rydel is another American Bandstand Theater alumni who had million-selling singles that include Volare, Wild One, and We Got Love. He also had an additional success with Swinging’ School, Kissin’ Time, and Forget Him.
The Golden Boys have made countless television appearances and have performed five hundred shows throughout the United States since 1985. This legendary singing group have had their fair share of success however they still remain popular amongst the “fun generation”. In addition, the three music legends, Frankie, Fabio and Bobby have a real talent for keeping their audience entertained by sharing stories during shows.
